Services
The services of the Central Florida Speech and
Hearing Center can be categorized into: The Literacy
and Language Initiative and The Adult Communication
program.
The Literacy and Language Initiatives comprised of
the following programs:
- Auditory Processing Disorders
(AP) Testing and the "FastForWord"
therapy program
- The Cleft Palate Clinic for children with cleft
palate and other facial deformities
- The "Hanen" Project for preschool children,
their parents and their preschool teachers.
- The A.C.E. Charter School
for Academic & Communication Excellence
- The ABR & OAE Diagnostic Hearing Evaluation
program for infants and Toddlers.
- Preschool Outreach Speech Therapy for Polk County
Preschools
- Individual speech & language
therapy
The Adult Communication Program includes the following
programs
- The Stroke Support Group
- Florida Telecommunications Relay
Inc. (FTRI) telephone equipment for deaf, hearing
impaired, visually impaired and speech impaired individuals.
- Individual hearing testing for patients of all ages
- Hearing Aid evaluation, selection, sales and repairs
- Assistive Listening devices
